Abigail died in the 1882 Grinnell tornado. However, her headstone in the Hazelwood Cem, Grinnell, shows her death as occurring on Nov. 28, 1902, and she appears in the 1900 census with David E. Allen. His obit says she died from injuries suffered in the 1882 Grinnell tornado, but proof of this has not been found.
