Charles Walter Broy, 82, of Morton, Illinois, died Thursday, May 11, 1995, at Rosewood Care Center, East Peoria, Ill. Born July 17, 1912, in Ewing, he was a son of Charles S. and Nettie F. Chance Broy. He married Virginia Raleigh on October 6, 1933, in Ewing. She survives. Mr. Broy was a machinist for Caterpillar Tractor, Inc., in East Peoria, Ill., worked on defense tools and retired July 17, 1972 after 20 years. He attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton, Ill., and held memberships in U.A.W. #974 and Caterpillar Retirees Club. Survivors also include two sons, Ronald D. Broy of Arlington Heights, Ill., and Larry E. Broy of Northbrook, Ill.; four grandchildren; and tow great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother, and one grandson. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 13 at 1:00 p.m., in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton with Fr. Eugene L. Finnell officiating. Burial was in Roberts Cemetery in Morton.
