Hannah Coleman married Asa Martin 22 Feb 1844 in Allen County, Ohio (later Clay Township, Auglaize County), where her husband's family had settled. She bore 15 children, of whom 13 were still living in 1880, and 11 in 1900 when she was enumerated in the census as a widow, living with her children Frank, Clarenda, and Lester.

Her death is recorded in Auglaize Co. Probate Court Deaths Register, vol. 4 (part 2), p. 168, No. 24, as a widow, resident of St. John's, aged 78y 4m 3d, b. in Shelby County.
