Bernice R. Jamason, 83, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Independence, died Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 9, 1998, in Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, after a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, St. John's Catholic Church, by the Rev. Aloysius Vorwald. Burial: church cemetery. There will be no visitation. Reiff Funeral Home, Independence, is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include a daughter, Rosa Ann Rohach of Ames; a son, Edward of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Evelyn Wilkinson of Cedar Rapids and Agnes Fiester of Independence; and a brother, Wayne Duffy of Apple Valley, Calif.
Also surviving are six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
