The funeral of Mrs. Laura Morrison Brown, widow of the late Col. John E. Brown, who died Thursday at her home on East avenue, was conducted yesterday at the First Presbyterian church yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, with Dr. Albert Sidney Johnson, pastor, in charge of the service. Interment followed in Elmwood cemetery.
Mrs. Brown had been a member of the First Presbyterian church for nearly 60 years. The services were largely attended and many beautiful foral (sic) designs attested the worth of Mrs. Brown to the church and community.
Signers' chapter, D.A.R., of which Mrs. Brown was historian, attended the funeral in a body.
