Mrs. Mary A. Barker, 94, died at 8:15pm yesterday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Della Finney, 207 S. Sutphin St., where she had made her home. She had been ill six months.
Mrs. Barker, born in Morgan County, Ky., was a resident of Middletown 50 years. She was an active member of the Crawford Street First Church of God for 30 years. Her husband, Martin, died in 1932.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Finney; Mrs. Elizabeth Sorrell of Germantown and Mrs. John Rothfuss of Cedar Lake, Ind.; a son, A. C. Barker of Middletown; 20 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home Friday at 2pm, with the Rev. Henry Howard and the Rev. Herschel Caudill officiating. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9pm.
