LEON BUCHEIT DIED TUESDAY IN ERIE HOSPITAL

Funeral Mass on Friday Morning For St. Marys Native

Leon R. Bucheit, 60, of 57 Curtzie Drive, Fairview, Pa., died Tuesday in the Erie Veterans Medical Center.

He was born May 20, 1920, in St. Marys, son of the late Frank and Rinnie Martin Bucheit. He lived in Erie for many years and Fairview the past three years. He was a self-employed truck broker.

Surviving are: his wife, the former Helen Wilhelm; two daughters, Renee, Mrs. Howard Stolz of Erie; Carol Bucheit of Fairview; two sons: Eric of Salt Lake City, Utah; Leon, Jr. of Erie and seven grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters: Clara, Mrs. Paul Horchen and Charlotte, Mrs. Carl Vollmer, both of St. Marys; four brothers: Richard of St. Marys, John of Mt. Jewett, Andrew of Kane and Walter of Lorraine, Ohio.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and Bernard.

Mr. Bucheit was a World War II Army veteran, serving in the Pacific Theatre, and a member of the Erie Elks.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday morning at 11 o'clock in Holy Cross Church, Fairview, with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
