Bess Herrin Fambrini was born on the family farm in Lawrence Township, Marion County, Indiana. It is now known as Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. Her parents were Fernando Herrin and Mary Agnes "Marie" McLaughlin. Bess had three siblings, Mary Jane Herrin, Agnes Ellen Herrin and John J. Falkar.

Mary Jane Herrin died in 1909 at 18 months of age from the influenza or whooping cough. Her father Fernando fell ill around this time. Then in 1912 Fernando and Marie decided to move to San Francisco in hopes that the climate would help improve his health. Marie's mother and step father were now living in San Francisco so they establish their home near Marie's parents James and Agnes Johnson.

By 1914 Fernando was diagnosed with Tuberculosis. Fernando moved back to Indiana leaving his wife and daughters in San Francisco. He died March 1915.

Bess's mother Marie, married John J. Falkar in 1916. Marie and John Falkar had a son John J. Falkar born in 1918. The family lived in the Cow Hallow District of San Francisco. The three children attended school in this area including Galileo High School.

Bess married Adone Fambrini on June 17, 1927 in San Francisco. They were married for sixty one years and 8 months. She was a devoted wife, homemaker caring for her five children, nephew Bobby and many grandchildren.

Bess and Adone had five daughters Adonia Kay, Ann Elizabeth, Mary Patricia, Eleanor Victoria and Elizabeth Lucinda;twelve grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.

One of her valuable legacies was leaving behind her family stories that were used to trace her family heritage and help create our family tree. She would of loved to of been part of all the family tree research and particularly meeting all of her wonderful extended family members.
