Jane Linderman was the second born daughter of Johann JACOB Linderman and Catherine Felten (aka Felton) Linderman. Her name was recorded as Jenne and Jennie on 2 different versions of her baptism records with the date of 16 May 1784. Her baptism was held in the Dutch Reformed Church in Montgomery New York. The hand-written version of her baptism record is found in the Dutch Reform Church record Montgomery, 27. Although baptized as Jenne/Jennie, at some point in time her name became Jane and it is as Jane that she is named in her father's 1792 Will. She and her husband Jonathan are also mentioned in applications for recognition in the U.S., Sons of the American Revolution Membership Applications, 1889-1970 and on Page 226 in the North America, Family Histories, 1500-2000 Daughters of the American Revolution, Lineage Book of the Charter Members of the DAR Vol 005.

A record of the inscriptions for Jane, Jonathan, and an infant son has been found on Page 121 in the book titled "A Record of the Inscriptions in the Old Town Burying Ground of Newburgh, NY published by the Historical Society of Newburgh Bay and the Highlands", published 1889.
