Funeral services for Fred M. Surrett,87, of 610 W. 12th St., who died Saturday at Anniston Memorial Hospital after a brief illness, will be held Monday at 2p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with the Rev. Glenn M. Gring, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Edgemont Cemetery.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Margaret Surrett; two daughters, Mrs. Willie Battles of Anniston and Miss Lodie Surrett of Anniston; two sons, F.J. and L.B. Surrett, both of Anniston; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Gussie Stancil, Cecil Murray, Thomas Pruitt, Howard Gay, B.C. Henderson and Arthur Gann.
A native of Calhoun County, Mr. Surrett was a retired employe of Anniston Manufacturing Co.
