Mrs. Annie Mallary Is Taken by Death - Lifelong Lawrence County Resident Dies Sunday After Extended Illness
Ellwood City, Feb. 3- Mrs. Annie Work Mallary, aged 77 years, a life-long resident of Lawrence county, passed away on Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock at her home in Big Beaver township, near New Galilee, after an illness of three years' duration.
A daughter of the late William and Isabel Wilson Work, she was born in Wayne township. The family lived near Chewton for many years. She possessed a delightful personality and was loved by a host of relatives and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Monroe Mallary; one son, George and a grandson, George, Jr., all of Big Beaver township. Three nieces, Mrs. Mary Myers, Miss Adda Smiley and Mrs. Nell Hazen of Wayne township, also survive. She was a member of the Christian church of Chewton.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Marshall funeral home at Wampum, with Rev. Charles Z. Bell of this city to officiate. Interment will be made in the Slippery Rock cemetery. Friends will be received at the Mallary home until 12 o'clock on Wednesday, when the body will be taken to the mortuary
