Rev. Gerald L. Pardoe
Rev. Gerald L. Pardoe, 76, of Perryopolis died Saturday April 15, 1989, at 4 p.m. at him home.
Born March 20, 1913, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Willard and Maude Harpster Pardoe.
Rev. Pardoe received his Quarterly Conference license in 1939 and was granted his Annual Conference license in 1943. He graduated from the course of study in 1958 and was ordained an elder in the Evangelical United Brethren Church, Western Pennsylvania Conference, on May 13, 1958.
He served in the following appointments: Mahaffey, 1940-43; Virginia Conference, 1943-46; Sidman-St. Michael, 1946-49; McKeesport First, 1949-57; Paradise, 1957-65; DuBois Trinity, 1965-79; and McDonald 1970-77, after which he retired.
He studied at Shenandoah College and the University of Pittsburgh.
Rev. Pardoe was a retired clergy member of the Western Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Perryopolis Ministerial Association; Perryopolis Lions Club; Perryopolis Planning and Zoning Board; Gummert Lodge No. 252, F&AM, where he was past president; Monesen Royal Arch Chapter 290, of which he was past high priest, Olivet Council No. 13, R.&S.M.; McKean Comandry No. 80, Knights Templar, Valley of Pittsburgh Council, Chapter and Consistory, and the Lodge of Perfection, Uniontown.
He was a life member of the Joshua Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis M. Pardoe, on Dec. 30, 1981.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. William (Jean) Goff of Westerville, Ohio, Mrs. Richard (Romayne) Konigsberg of VanNuys, Calif, Mrs. Fred (Diane) Clausner of Perryopolis and Mrs. David (Carol) Zeltwanger of Aliquippa, two sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald L. and Elizabeth Pardoe of Elizabeth and Robert A. and Jean Pardoe of Mt. Pleasant, 28 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Pardoe of Bellefonte; and one sister, Mrs. Winifred Miller of Tyrone.
Friends will be received today and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, Inc., Perryopolis, and on Wednesday from 10 to 11 am in the Perryopolis United Methodist Church.

Friends will be received Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, Inc., Perryopolis, and on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Perryoplolis United Methodist Church when services will be held with the Rev. Peter A. Foley officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Washington Cemetery, Perryopolis. Lions Club services will be held Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Masonic services will be held Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled by the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, Inc.
