Funeral services for Mr. Martin were held Saturday at 3:30 p.m. from the Nailes Creek Baptist Church near Bartow with Elder Woodrow Beasley and the Church pastor officiating, with burial in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Hines Martin, Jr., Dewell Martin, Sam Martin, Jobie Martin, Murphy Martin and Earl Shirey.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nell Martin, of Bartow; four daughters, Mrs. E. C. Coston, Jr., and Mrs. Charles L. Tillman, both of Macon, Mrs. B. A. Lampp of Louisville and Miss Martha Martin of Bartow; two sons, Steve Martin, Jr. of Marysville, Tenn., and Lt. Cecil E. Martin of the Wichita Falls, Texas AFB; two sisters, Mrs. Barney Holt of Augusta and Mrs. Grady Shirey of Wadley, one brother, Dan Martin of Bartow and six grandchildren.
Shadowlawn Mortuary of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
