Died, at Gussettville, Live Oak Co., Texas, February 15th, 1869, Mr. Patrick Fox in the 50th year of his age.

He was a native of Leitrim County, Ireland, and for twenty-one years a citizen of this country. Cut down in the midst of health and the vigor of manhood by a cruel blow, he fell leaving a sorrowing widow and five orphans to mourn his loss.

Farewell to you, darling, a long farewell,
I'll wait for your coming in vain;
Your footsteps no more I'll hear at the door,
Nor your dear voice again.

But hopes still arise to a --- in the skies,
Where you will be watching for me,
And your welcome will outpour as you wait in the door,
There calling my spirit to thee.
