Mrs. Sarah Ellen Smith died Tuesday, January 28, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Howard Tess, 220 West Rockwell Street, Elkhorn, WI, following a lingering illness. She had been living with her daughter for the past 17 months.
Sarah was born near Toronto, Canada, in 1881 and was the widow of the late Dr. L.D. Smith. Her parents, William and Emily Hodgson, her first husband, Edward Lemuel Adams, and a son, Ernest Adams, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Bernice Tess, and a son, DuRell Smith, of Racine, as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren.
