Alcie "Weaver" Baucum was born in Louisiana in 1878. Her mother died when she was just a baby. Her grandparents took her and her sister, Ollie. Her father William Hunt Weaver, remarried and came back to get the girls when Alcie was about two years old.
William Hunt moved his family, wife, Alcie, sister, Ollie, and half sister, Jessie, to Limestone County Texas in the late 1880s or early 1890s.
She met and married Benjamin Walter (B.W.) Baucum mid 1890s. Their first two sons, Tom and Joe were born in Limestone County.
In the early 1900s they moved to and settled in Jones County Tx. where they remained the rest of there lives.
B.W. passed away in 1946 and Alcie moved into Anson in 1951.
