Kate Sarah Collison was the daughter of James Collison and Eliza Bell. She married Miles Wellington Earl 26 December 1882 in Cook County, Illinois. There is no record of Kate's burial in Yamhill County and it is believed she is in an unmarked grave.

Earl. Fell asleep in Jesus, at Newberg, Oregon, Feb. 4, 1903 of cancer of the stomach, Mrs. K. S. Earl, aged 43 years, 10 months, and 12 days. Sister Earl accepted the truth in 1885 in Kearney, Neb., and came to Oregon in 1897. She leaves a husband, three sons, and three daughters to mourn their loss.
