Wanda R. Baker, 72, of Pellston, died Dec. 17, 1988, at Little Traverse Division, Northern Michigan Hospitals.
Funeral was Tuesday, Dec. 20, at the Schiller Funeral Chapel of Pellston. The Rev. Scott Mallory officiated and burial was in Littlefield Township Cemetery, Alanson.
Mrs. Baker was born Jan. 9, 1916, in Fostyro, Mich., the daughter of Otto and Sylvia (Smith) Swadling. She attended Hedrick School and married Howard Baker on Nov. 16, 1931. The couple resided in the area and Mr. Baker died April 28, 1968.
Mrs. Baker had been employed by Circuit Controls and ITT Industries for 20 years.
She is survived by; eight daughters, Mrs. Glen (Rhoda) Leavitt of Pellston, Mrs. Don (Sally) Allen of Gaylord, Mrs. Lynn (Janet) Hite of Kentucky, Mrs. Earl (Jean) Temple of Petoskey, Mrs. Ray (Holly) Hatfield of Indiana, Mrs. Fred (Margaret) Miltz of Harbor Springs, Mrs. Mary Koerber of Ohio, Mrs. Ray (Belinda) Wiggs of Levering; three Sons, Howard S. Jr. of Colorado, Sidney of Alanson and Ross of Harbor Springs; one sister, Mrs. Fay Rosebohm; three brothers, Homer and George Swadling and Jerry Smeizer; 47 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
