Sylvia Jane Miller was born November 16, 1954 in Kalona, the daughter of Earl J. and Mary (Bender) Beachy. She was baptized in her youth and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. She was united in marriage to Sanford E. Miller on February 10, 1977. To this union were born seven sons and five daughters.
She is survived by her husband Sanford; 12 children: Heidi Miller, Leander (Emma Marie) Miller, Sadie (Atlee) Yoder, Tobias C. (Rosetta) Miller, Daniel Miller all of Kalona, George Miller (fiancé Evelyn Yoder) of Wellman, Marcus Miller, Mary Jane Miller, Jacob Miller, Gabriel Miller, Virginia Miller and Lily Miller all of Kalona; five grandchildren; her father Earl Beachy of Kalona; two brothers: Emery (Sadie) Beachy of Hardin, MO and Morris Beachy of Kalona; one sister: Judy Mae (Norman) Kauffman of Smyrna, ME.
She was preceded in death by her mother, a brother Eldon Lynn Beachy and a sister, Ella Irene Miller. Yoder-Powell Funeral Home of Kalona was in charge of arrangements.
