Ernestine Jourdan, 87, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was a retired employee of the Louisiana State Hospital in Jackson, La., and a Baptist. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and was a "grandmother" to many besides her own grandchildren.
Services were at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Billy Paul Feltman officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Gilead Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Curtis Jourdan of Burnsville and Jackie Jourdan of Iuka; two daughters, Nita Cranfield of New Orleans and Ouida Sepehri-Nik of Salt Lake City, Utah; a brother, Guy Barnes of Iuka; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Jourdan; a son, Hershel Jourdan; and a daughter, Linda Courtney.
