Harold Barnard Died Last Monday After Long Illness

Harold Barnard, 63, died Monday at Glynn Memorial Hospital in Brunswick after a long illness.

He was a native of Tattnall County, a member of Watermelon Creek Baptist Church and a retired brick mason.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ena Barnard of Glennville; three daughters, Misses Belinda and Suzanne Barnard, both of Glennville and Mrs. Jack Kicklighter of Jesup; a son, Jerry Barnard of Glennville; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Mae Cribbs of Brooklet and Mrs. Jimmy Lynn of Orlando, Fla., and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Watermelon Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Marcus Rushing, Rev. Varnie Aspinwall and Rev. Jimmy Greer. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers were nephews, Ronald Chavis, Jerome Lynn, Leroy Purcell, Bill Lynn, Delano Cribbs, and Arlease Lynn.

Honorary pallbearers were Curtis DeLoach, Calvin Ray, Darwin Joseph, Lester Weitman, Barney Dubberly, Jerrell Joseph, Earl Cammack, Robert Dubberly, Shorty Moore, Ellis Ray and Mickey Morris.

Rimes Mortuary of Glennville was in charge of arrangements.
