Eliza J. Parker, eldest daughter of Mariah Jane Attaway and Thomas Newman Parker, was born Jan 13, 1833 and died Aug. 10, 1910 age 77 years, 6months and 27 days. She was united in marriage to G. M. Funk,Jan 13, 1851. To this union were born nine children, three ofwhom survive, G. M. Funk of Oaktown, Ind., S .H. Funk and IdaLove of New Hebron, Ill. She was converted in a meeting heldby Rev. Elsworth in the woods near the old Canaan School house. She joined the U. B. Church and was baptized in the Wabash River in Aug. 1859.

She re-united with the U.B. church at New Hebron under Rev. S.
O. Stoltz, Feb. 9, 1908. Funeral services were conducted at
the U.B. Church at New Hebron by Elder Jesse Jackson, assisted
by Rev. H. W. Broadstone. Interment in the Robinson Cemetery.
