Charles F. Ely, 67, carpenter and fisherman of Oregon City and vicinity for 64 years, died at the Oregon City hospital early Tuesday morning. He was born at Durand, Ill, November 7, 1874.
He is survived by on son, Stanford of Gladstone; one daughter, Mrs Marvel Dinneen of Gladstone; one sister, Mrs. Carl Williams of Portland; two brothers, George V. and Duane C. Ely of Oregon City and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Holman and Hankins chapel at 10:30 Thursday morning with Rev. R. W. Achor officiating and Miles Burleigh will sing. Interment will be at the Mountain View cemetery.
