Robert L. Donahue of Vancouver, Washington, passed away at the age of 77 on September 17, 2008. He was born to Frank and Lucille Donahue on January 19, 1931 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, spending his early years in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Bob was a U.S. Air Force veteran and later settled in Washington state. He and Renee were married in 1953 and raised their family in the Tacoma and Vancouver areas in Washington State.
He was founder of RLD Co. Inc. Wood Fabrication. After retirement, they became "Rainbirds", spending six months at Phillips Lake in Shelton, Washington and six months with their many friends in Green Valley, Arizona.
Bob was a lifetime member of the American Legion and Shelton Elks and enjoyed music, dancing and parties.
At the time of his death, Bob was President of The Villages of Green Valley Homeowners Association.
Bob is survived by his wife of 55 years, Renee; their children, Bobbie Tallmon, Frank Donahue, Jeffrey Donahue, Kathleen Stadtmueller, Teresa Hanabata, Paul Donahue; and step-son, Victor Trill; twelve grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; all his relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Frances and Delores.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Friday, September 26, 2008, at St. Johns Catholic Church, Vancouver, Washington.
