Malinda Ivy, called Ivy by most, was born to Jackson Baker and Safronia Bybee Baker in Indian Territory, Oklahoma, but spent most of her life in Wichita Falls, TX.

She marrtied Lee Wilson in early 1897 in Fannin County, Tx. They had one daughter, Mertie Leona, born at the close of 1897.

Ivy married again to James Edward Stephens in Lamar County, Texas in 1902. Their produced three sons: Alvin, Elmer, William "Haskell".

Ivy, wife and mother, raised all of her children in Wichita Falls.

Ivy's name appears as Mandaly Stephens on her death certificate. As a note of clarification, this was a misunderstood distortion of Malinda.
