Beverly Ann Ence Chavis, 77, passed away September 4, 2010 in Provo, Utah. She was born August 17, 1933 in Richfield to Floyd and Faye Davis Ence. She married Bud Chavis, they later divorced.

Beverly worked for the telephone company as a switch board operator. Later on she worked for the Little Dutch Boy Cookie factory in Draper, most recently she loved being a teacher with the Richfield Head Start program where she was able to touch many lives, she unwillingly retired at age 70.

She was an active member of the LDS Church faithfully fulfilling many callings before her illnesses made it difficult for her.

She is survived by children, Dan (Danna) Chavis of Monroe, Anita (Brian) Purser of West Jordan, Trina (Ron) Ballard of Monroe; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Debbie (Terral) Dunn, Jim (Dorothy) Ence both of Richfield and Barbra Ence of California. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 12:00 Noon in the Monroe 1st LDS Ward Chapel, 50 East 200 North in Monroe. Friends may call at the ward chapel for viewing on Friday from 10:30 to 11:30. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
