E. M. WHITWORTH DIES AFTER BRIEF ILLNESS.

Edward M. Whitworth, age 48, an employee of the Shreveport post office for 20 of the 25 years he has been a resident of this city, died at his residence, 1120 Busby street, at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, after a week's illness of pneumonia. He is survived by his wife, Lessie B. Whitworth, and a brother [Gray] Whitworth, and three sisters, Mrs. D. B. Rogers, of Avinger, Texas; Mrs. W. L. Tomlin and Mrs. E. C. Hicks, of Hughes Springs, Texas, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

The funeral will take place Saturday afternoon, arrangements for the services to be announced following arrival of relatives.
