CARREL DEE MULLIKIN (1-1-1925 / 7-27-1999) Published 7-28-1999 Carrel D. Mullikin, 74, of 1507 Belmont Drive, died July 27, 1999, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born January 1, 1925, at Ladd, a son of the late Lewis Dee Mullikin and Amanda Whatley Mullikin. He was reared and educated at Ladd and at Pine Bluff and attended Pine Bluff Schools. He served as a paratrooper in the Army during World War II. He returned to Pine Bluff and served with the Pine Bluff Police Department. He was also associated with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department for several years. He retired from the International Paper Company in 1984 as a maintenance supervisor and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was a Baptist, a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite. He was also a member of the Swan Lake Community Center and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include his wife, Ethel BryantBerry Mullikin, whom he married September 17, 1949, at Benton; three sons, Benjamin F. Berry, Lewis Dee Mullikin, and Carrel Edward Mullikin, all of Pine Bluff; a sister, Mildred Turner of Pine Bluff; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with the Rev. Russell Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
