Mildred Mullikin Turner, 87, a lifetime resident of Pine Bluff, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Davis Life Care Center.

Born September 28, 1927, in Terry, Arkansas (Lincoln County); she was a daughter of the late Lewis Dee and Amanda McCoy Whatley Mullikin.

She received her education in Pine Bluff, attending Pine Bluff High School.

In 1948, she married Austin P. Turner. Together they had three children and shared nearly twenty years of life, love and memories, until his death in 1965.

She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for thirty-three years, retiring in 1983 as a Maintenance Administrator.

Mrs. Turner was a dedicated member of Belair Presbyterian Church, where she served as an elder and Sunday school teacher for many years. After the churches merged, she became a faithful member of Central Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Telephone Pioneers.

She was a mother, a grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to many. She was a kind soul who dedicated her time to her children and opening her home to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren when they came along.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sisters, Winifred Branch and Beatrice McKinney; and her brothers, Carrel Dee and William Floyd Mullikin.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Raymond Turner, of Pine Bluff; Ruth Graves Holland, of Pine Bluff; and Ronald Turner, of Tooele, Utah; her grandchildren, William Graves, Amanda Chandler (Michael), Christopher Graves, and Stephan Graves; her great-grandchildren, Austin Graves, David Graves, Haley Chandler, Kiri Graves and Tristan Graves; and her brother, Tom Mullikin, along with many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.

Service will be 10:00AM, Monday, December 1, 2014, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend David King officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Sunday, 3:00-5:00PM at Robinson’s.
