Jerry L. Allbaugh, 71, of Lafayette, died at 6:02 p.m. April 30, 2001, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. He had been ill for six months.
He was born Dec. 25, 1929, in Camden. He had lived in Lafayette for 50 years, and formerly lived in Delphi.
His marriage was on Dec. 25, 1949, in Brookston, to Jo Ann Waymire, who survives.
Mr. Allbaugh was employed at Eli Lilly for 13 years. Prior to that, he was employed at Ross Gear.
He enjoyed woodworking and fishing.
Also surviving are one sister, Carolyn Royer of Goshen, and a brother, Don Allbaugh of Delphi. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Services will be Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Hippensteel Funeral Home, Lafayette, with Rev. Dr. Jacob H. Hoffman and Pastor Larry DeVos officiating. Friends may call today (Wednesday) from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Wise Cemetery, Camden.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
