J.I. Dalrymple
John Ivan Dalrymple, 84, died at 3:10 p.m. Friday in Highland Hospital after a short illness.
Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Marshall Street Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home with Dr. James Taylor , pastor of Highland Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Park Cemetery.
Mr. Dalrymple was a native of Arkansas and a resident of Shreveport for 64 years. He was a retired Kansas City Southern Railroad agent.
Survivors include two sons, Homer Dalrymple and O.T. Dalrymple, both of Shreveport; one daughter, Lydia Browning of Hattiesburg, Miss.; two sisters, Mrs. Belle Jenkins and Mrs. Dorothy Leckie, both of Shreveport; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be M.D. Gibson, H.R. Dalrymple, A.E. Dalrymple, J.L. Dalrymple, Lloyd Jones and Ralph Mitchell.
