Frederick Anderson Kidwell was born in Clark County, Ill., February 21, 1852. At the age of 18 he came to Missouri with his parents and located in Putnman County. On the 30th day of September, 1874 he was united in marriage to Miss Sarah Fuqua, to this union six children were born, of whom only three are living, two sons Charles L. and Ora E. of Green City, and daughter Mrs. J. W. (Laura) Riley of Uncas, Oklahoma. These children with their mother, the deceased leaves four sisters and two brothers and a large circle of friends to morn his death. In 1890 he moved to Green City and engaged in the drug bussiness, and was not only successful in his own business, but was a great addition to the commercial interest of the town. His private and domestic life was above reproach. Steadfast and true in all relations of life he honored the teachings and principles of Masonary, and in the end was aquried with Masonic honors by Green City Lodge No. 159 of which he remained a member to the time of his death. He was made Mason December 12, 1891; passed to the degree of Fellow Craft February 6, 1892, and a Master Mason March 12, 1892 all in Green City Lodge No. 159. After becoming a Master Mason he filled many of the stations and filled them well. And in rememberance of our deceased friend and brother, we, your committee; present the following resolutions, and ask that the same, together with the foregoing memorial be spread upon the records of the lodge.
