MILROY - Eva N. Smith, 93, of Milroy, formerly of New Freedom, died at 6:04 p.m. Monday at Lewistown Hospital. She was the wife of the late Howard F. Smith Sr.
The service will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary Inc., 24 Second St., New Freedom. Burial will be in Bethlehem Steltz Cemetery in Glen Rock. Viewing will be 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
Mrs. Smith was born Jan. 19, 1907, in Glen Rock. She was the daughter of the late Harvey C. and Elizabeth M. (Bortner) Brenneman.

She worked at the former Charles G. Summers Jr. Inc., in New Freedom, retiring in 1972 after 25 years of service. She was a member of Kish Valley Grace Brethren Church in Reedsville and Fountain Square Senior Center in Milroy.
Mrs. Smith is survived by three sons, Donald E. Smith of Dover, Larry K. Smith of Milroy and Terry L. Smith of Crossville, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Stewart L. Brenneman of Florida; and a sister, Margaret Fisher of Glen Rock.

Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Douglas D. Sabin.
