First wife was Dora G. Hackstaff (Nov. 28, 1845-July 24, 1876) who died after the birth of her third child and buried in Cowdrey Cemetery, Kendall County, with a marker.
They had three children: Lottie (Nov. 1868-Apr. 15, 1872),buried with her mother, William L. (1871-1933) and Lottie A. (1876-1955), both buried in Oswego Cemetery with father and step-mother.
Second wife was Henrietta Trish (1854-1918). They were married Dec. 27, 1877 and had no children.
