Mrs. John M. Myers, 74, lifelong resident of Blue Creek township, died at 12:05 o'clock this morning at her home one mile west of Salem. Death was caused by heart disease. She had been bedfast since October 10.She was born in Blue Creek township June 17, 1872, the daughter of Elisha and Amy Closon-Merriman. She was married to John M. Myers December 22, 1895, and he died May 2, 1936.Mrs. Myers was a member of the Union U.B. church.Surviving are a daughter, Miss Mabel Myers, at home; one son, Charles H. Myers of Blue creek township, and one grandchild. One son, Harvey, two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. (CST) Wednesday at the home and at 1:30 o'clock at the Union U.B. church, with the Rev. C,E, Roberts and the Rev E.E. Bragg officiating. Burial will be in the Tricker cemetery. The body will be removed from the Zwick funeral home to the residence this evening.
