Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Tabor Hendrix, 76 of Olla will be held 1 p.m. Friday January 18, 2008 from the Georgetown Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in the Lincecum Cemetery at Georgetown. All services are under direction of Riser Funeral Home, Olla.

Iris Marie Hendrix was born on April 29, 1931 in Georgetown, La. and passed from this life on Jan.16,2008. She was born to the union of her parents the late Alfred and Vedie Cotton Tabor.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sons A.T. Teddlie and Lynn Teddlie and her daughter Debbie Hendrix.

Marie retired from Southern Heritage Bank after working in the banking business with over forty years of service. She was an active member of the Georgetown Baptist Church and will be remembered as a devoted Christian, wife, and mother. Friends and family will recall her soft spoken kindness and ladylike ways.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years Jimmy D. Hendrix of Olla; her daughters Betty Hughes of Olla, Jonda Parnell and husband David of Georgetown, Wanda Navarro of Nevada; her son Ricky Hendrix and wife Theresa of Winnfield; nine grand children; ten great grand children; many other loving family members and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers any planned memorials should be made to the Lincecum Cemetery Fund at P.O. Box 381, Pollock, La. or the building fund of the Georgetown Baptist Church.

The Hendrix Family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the dedicated staff at Specialty Hospital of Winnfield, Autumn leaves Nursing Home, and Dr. mark Shelton for their excellent care.

Serving as pallbearers will beJustin Steen, Blake Sims, Quention Ates, W.C. Holloway, Roy Mac Brazzell, and Joe May.

The Family will receive guests on Thursday from 4:30pm until 9pm at the Georgetown Baptist Church, Georgetown, La.
