Graveside services for Mrs. Betty Teddlie Hughes will be held at 10 a.m. at Lincecum Cemetery in Georgetown with Andy Partington officiating under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.
Mrs. Hughes, 71, of Olla, was born on November 1, 1949 in Urania, and passed from this life on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at her home in Olla. She worked for Hardtner Medical Center as a cook for many years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Lavelle Teddlie; mother, Iris Marie Tabor Hendrix; step father, J.D. Hendrix; brothers, Alfred Teddlie, and Lynn Teddlie; and sister, Debbie Hendrix.
Those left to cherish in her memory include her son, Shane Hughes (Susie) of Grayson; daughter, Dawn Marie Mattox (David) of Memphis, Tennessee; brother, Rickey Hendrix of Winnfield; sisters, Jonda Parnell of Georgetown, and Wanda Navarro of Georgetown; and grandchildren, Keegan Mattox and Mackenna Mattox.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Steen, Dustin Emfinger, Justin Steen, Andy Partington, Sidney Emfinger, and Erick Schultz.
