Born in Earl Twp., he was a son of the late Daniel M. and Susanah Sensenig Stauffer, a retired farmer and a member of the Pike Mennonite Church.
His wife, Veronica Brubaker Stauffer, died in 1959.
Surviving are three daughters: Anna, wife of Reuben Stauffer, Loveville, Md.; Mary Ann, wife of Carson Stauffer, Oakley, Md.; Esther, wife of Earl F. Sweigart, with whom he lived; and three sons: Reuben B., and David B., Port Trevorton; and Isaac B., Stevens R1.
Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: Sarah, wife of Wilson Martin, New Holland R1; Katie, wife of Raymond Martin, Ephrata R3; Daniel Stauffer, Ephrata; Eli Stauffer, Ephrata R3; Bishop Jacob Stauffer, Ephrata R3; and Isaac Stauffer, New Holland R2.
