Stephanus or Stephen Crist is the son of Phillip and Cathrine Robertson Crist. He was christened in the German Reformed Church and Dutch Reformed. He married Mary Ann Bryant in 1809. They had three children: Isiah (married Elizabeth A. Fisher), Emma J. (married Garrit Fisher) and John.

Records from the Brick Reformed Church show that when Lourenz married in 1735 that he lived in Hoagduytsland and Elizabeth lived in Gasbon. Thonges and Ottilia remained in Germany. Laurenz and Stephanus came to New York. All the other children may have too whith the possible exception of Clara.
