married Lilly Porter, 1836, Greene Co, Missouri.
I believe he is not buried here but was buried near where he died on the Oregon Trail, somewhere near the John Day River. Records show that most Oregon Trail Pioneers crossed this river at McDonald, OR.

"The family set out to cross the plains, but the father died of cholera on the way, and four other members of the family perished also. The mother, Mrs. Lillie Frizzell, with six children, made her way to Oregon, and settled in Polk County. The children's names were Catharine, William, Joseph, Almira, Jason P., and Lafayette.
