Born Francis Easterwood, 9 Jun 1855 in Logan, Harris co., Arkansas.
Obituary: Mrs. Barton Passes
Mrs. Fannie Barton passes away Friday, June 30, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Blanche Stone, where she had made her home the past six years. Mrs. Barton was born in Logan county, Arkansas, June 9, 1855 and was 84 years old. She crossed the plains with her parents, locating in Idaho. Mrs. Barton and her husband, Alfonso Barton, resided at Athena and Wallowa and also lived in Nebraska for 15 years, later returning again to Athena. She was a member of the Christian church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Blanche Stone, Mrs. Mae Harthorne of Hood River, Mrs. Forrest Cassidy of Eugene; three sons, Edward Barton of the Dalles, Ralph Barton, Hood River, and Clarence Barton of Silver Lake; also 21 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Services were held Sunday at 2:30 at the Christian Church, Rev. Fred J. Greene officiating, with burial at the Athena cemetery. The G.A. R. ladies conducted the service at the grave.
