In the Mar. 1, 1885 Kansas State census of that same county, the widow Rebecca McKnight was the head of her family residing with sons Charles Franklin and George Hiram, and dau. Mary Amanda. In the Mar. 1, 1895 Kansas State census, the widow Rebecca and youngest son George had moved to the west adjoining county of Cowley and were residing together at Arkansas City, KS.

Margaret's parents, Allen M. and Susan Frances (Jones) Barker, were residing in the March 1895 Kansas State census at Cowley County. That enumeration included dau.
