Death of James McKnight.

Little Boy Said to Have Died from Rabies.

James Everett McKnight the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. H. McKnight of West Chestnut avenue, died last night at the family home after an illness of short duration. The boy is said by a physician who was called last night showed signs of rabies hydrophobia. The physician did not arrive at the home however, until after the child had passed away. It is said that the parents did not know of a dog or any other animal having bitten the child but the physician says the case might have been a case of rabies.

The little boy was aged 6 years and 10 months old. He had been ill since last Friday night and on Saturday and Sunday was very sick. It is said that there had been on physician called to the home until last night.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the family residence. A.E. Ford, a minister of the Seventh Day Advent church, conducted the services. Interment was made in Mercer cemetery.
