"On 22 March, 1915,, two days after celebrating his one hundredth birthday, John S. Wilson was a guest of honor at the Rochester Historical Society to hear the reading of a paper compiled by Frederick M. Whitney, the result of several interviews with Mr. Wilson. This paper, titled "The Reminiscences of John S. Wilson", covering twenty-three pages was printed in the the Rochester Historical Society Publication 20:[1922] page 1. In an interview on 21 March, 1918, John said he had two children, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren."
Died of Hypostatic Pneumonia, age 104 years, 30 days. John was living at Ridgeway Ave at the time of his death.
