The First Bloom.

The celebration of the first orange blossoms of the season took place at the residence of Mrs. Flint, three miles south of town on last Tuesday evening when Mr. Y. L. Burton and Miss Fannie Flint were joined in the holy bonds of matrimony, Rev. G. E. Brewer of this place officiating.
The groom is a thrifty young farmer and his fascinating bride is one of Chambers' fairest daughters. The happy couple have the best wishes of many friends for a bright and happy future. The entire SUN force return special thanks for the delicious cake tendered.

On Monday night, another well known lady of LaFayette, Mrs. Yancey L. Burton, died at Tampa, Florida where she had been for some time, being in failing health. Her remains will be brought to her old home for interment.

Mrs. Fannie Burton Dies in Tampa, Fla.

On last Monday night the news was received here of the death of Mrs. Fannie Burton, who up to a year or so ago, was a resident of LaFayette, but since that time she had been living with her children in Tampa, Fla.
The news did not come unexpectedly as she had been in poor health for some time and her condition grew gradually worse. She died last Monday night about 10 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clyde Driver. Her body reached LaFayette today accompanied by Mrs. Clyde Driver, Mrs. Evelyn Bass, Linwood Burton and Harry Driver, Jr.
Mrs. Burton was the wife of Y. L. Burton, of LaFayette, and was a well-known lady of this section, having many close friends and relatives in LaFayette and this section.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. B. Hope, former pastor of the Methodist Church, and assisted by Revs. T. H. Johnson, J. W. Rucker and J. M. White and were held at the Methodist Church. Interment was in the LaFayette Cemetery today at 12 o'clock.
Besides her husband, Y. L. Burton, three children, Mrs. Clyde Driver, Mrs. Evelyn Bass and Linwood Burton, she leaves many relatives and friends, who have known and loved her through the years and will miss and mourn her departure.
