Paul L. Dietrich, 76, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 17, 2010, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Micleta (Seigman) Dietrich, to whom he was married 56 years.
Mr. Dietrich was born June 30, 1934, in Dallastown, the son of the late Paul and Mabel (Stump) Dietrich.
He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Yoe.
Mr. Dietrich had been employed by the former Borg Warner York International, now Johnson Controls, for 30 years prior to his retirement in 1996. He served in the United States Army Medical Corps. Mr. Dietrich was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved to travel.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Dietrich is survived by a son, Terry L. Dietrich and his wife Deborah of Red Lion; a sister, Violet Descar and her husband, Bill of Dallastown; and two brothers, John Dietrich and his wife, Judy of Philadelphia, and Henry Dietrich and his wife, Grace of East Prospect. He was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Dietrich.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Dietrich will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, 17313 with Pastor Troy R. Harrold officiating. There will be viewings from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Dietrich's family has suggested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924 N. Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.
