Daniel David Stogsdill was husband of Sarah Delilah Hargis. (*also known as "Sary" or "Sally" on some records). They married 11 Dec 1806 in Pulaski County, Kentucky. His parents may have been William Stogsdill and Elizabeth Randall. His wife "Sary" was the daughter of John Hargis and Jenny Pyron or Pyrent. Daniel died about 1853 and is possibly buried at Pine Thicket Cemetery near other Stogsdill kin.

Daniel's wife/widow Sarah or "Sary" went to Missouri to live near her adult children and grandchildren. Sarah Hargis Stogsdill is found on the 1870 Census living in Dent County, Missouri in the home of her grandson Gideon Keeney; along with his widowed mother (Daniel and Sarah's daughter) Catherine Stogsdill Keeney and Gideon's young wife and children. Sarah is not found on the 1880 Census living with Gideon in Phelps County where he is shown living with his family and mother; so it is presumed she either went to live with other kin or passed away circa 1875. Her burial location has not yet been found. She may be buried in Dent County near other Stogsdill kin, or she could be in Phelps County near other Stogsdill-Keeney kin.
