He was manager of Forrest Lumber Company of Morton for 23 years. He was a 1936 graduate of Anson High School. He was a veteran of World War II and past president of the Morton Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the Morton Lions Club, Sheriff's Posse, and Rodeo Club, and was active in civic affairs in Morton. Survivors include his wife; one son; two sisters; one brother.
