Joseph was born in Marshall Co. Tn. His father was LeRoy Wall, I have never found out who his mother was. Joseph had two brothers, James Joshua, Thomas Newton, We assume their mother died as a young woman, as these three boys were raised by their aunts & uncles on the Wall side of the family. They all three were in the Confederate Army and all moved to Grayson Co. Tx. after the war. Joseph married Sallie Nettie A. Smith in Giles Co. Tenn in 1858, They moved from Grayson Co. to Terrell, Kaufman Co. Tx. where they lived until their deaths. His brother James Joshua moved to Cumberland Okla. and other brother Thomas Newton stayed in Grayson Co.Tx.
