Thomas A. Bodkin was born October 6, 1940 in Maquoketa, Iowa, son of LeRoy and Mary (Houlihan) Bodkin. He graduated from Maquoketa High School in 1958. He married Janet Hamilton on June 15, 1963 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maquoketa, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1962. He was an inspector at J.I. Case in Bettendorf. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Maquoketa, UAW Union and the Maquoketa Eagles Club. He was an avid bowler, golfer and Hawkeye fan.


Tom is survived by his wife, Janet Bodkin of Maquoketa; 4 children, Richard (Theresa) Bodkin of Davenport, Steve (Debbie) Bodkin & Billy Bodkin of Maquoketa, and Mary (Louis) Cubbage of Baldwin; 8 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 5 step-great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Bob (Anita) Bodkin of Emporia, KS & Donnie (Sherry) Bodkin of Highlands Ranch, CO; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
